A report from the Hexham Courant (Yes it is a local paper, we read them all to write this site) says that UK Chille Grower and Sauce maker Dan May has got his Trees Can’t Dance sauces in to 50 Tesco’s stores.

We look forward to seeing them in our local store soon.

Edible Ornamentals in Chawston, Beds has opened the UK’s first Chilli Pick Your Own, with over 40 varieties available including the Bhut Jolokia and the Dorset Naga.

It was reported in the Telegraph that “The couple already operate the UK’s only chilli farm from huge green houses on the site supplying 400,000 chillies a year to British supermarkets including Waitrose”

The 5th Simpsons Seeds Great Chilli Event will be held on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of May here at the Walled Garden Nursery. This years special guests are Fire Foods, who make some wonderful chilli sauces, and Ambalamba Spices, makers of some wonderful spice kits.
