I recently received a nice package from

It was a lovely package of chocolate bars no less. Well thats what I thought until I read the name of them, “Instant Regret”. There’s no doubt with a name like that, there was going to be something horrendous in them! and I was right, 6.4million Scoville’s of pain. They wanted the Chilefoundry’s opinion, and here it is.

Ben Redhead, ‘Instant Regret’ Inventor said, “During the tasting process our friends at the chocolate shop looked at us like we were mad, but we just laughed and ate some more Instant Regret Chocolate. Then we cried.”

Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk Powder, Cocoa Mass, 6.4 million SHU Chilli extract!, emulsifier (soya lecithin), flavouring (natural vanilla), Milk Chocolate contains 33% minimum cocoa solids, milk solids 22% minimum.

Firebox sent a warning to me with the chocolate, they were worried it would do some damage to us at Chilefoundry, in fact these are the warnings they give:

  • CAUTION: Chocolate contains extreme quantities of chilli and is not suitable for children, pets or the elderly.
  • CAUTION: Do not put in direct contact with eyes or downstairs area, and wash hands after handling.
  • CAUTION: This bar has been made in a factory that regularly uses tree nuts and peanuts, although that’ll be the least of your worries once you try some.
  • DO NOT Eat more than a single piece until you have tested your tolerance.
  • DO NOT Give to unsuspecting people without warning, even if you don’t like them.
  • DO NOT Consume while driving or operating heavy machinery… or any machinery.
  • DO NOT Consume if you have a history of heart problems, chilli terror or any other concerns about spicy food.
  • DO NOT Consume without handy supplies of milk, yoghurt and other cooling food substances.
  • DO NOT Place on sensitive areas of unsuspecting people’s bodies.
  • Not suitable for children or persons under the age of 16… or over 16 for that matter.

With warnings like that, we had to try it, so how was it? Here is Darth Naga and myself trying the Chocolate:

By the way, we at Chilefoundry take no responsibility for any pain caused by Darth’s suggestion of pretending this is normal chocolate!
The Chocolate is available from Firebox for the sum of £6.99 and would make a great stocking filler for someone you hate, sorry, love!

Value (6/10)
