Camping on a Chilli farm with Pepper Bells Glamping

Upton Cheyney is a small village steeped in history and situated on the very edge of the Cotswolds between the cities of Bristol and Bath. With far reaching views across to the Welsh mountains you will find a few ancient dwellings, a traditional country pub, a war memorial, a farm shop with cafe/butchery and a chilli farm. Sounds lush? It is – and now you can come and camp or indeed Glamp in a field right next to the chilli farm!

‘Pepper Bells Camping and Glamping’ is run by Alex Duck and Dave Hawking of the Upton Cheyney Chilli Company, with the idea being to offer a peaceful, scenic campsite in a unique position that allows the inhabitants the freedom of picking a few chillies from the farm for their evening BBQ on site!

Casual camping costs £5 per person per night. Caravans and campervans are also welcome, as are well behaved dogs.

The glamping is based around a number of Bell tents and Tipi’s. The Bell Tents are Moroccan themed to include candle chandeliers, lanterns, low tables, traditional Moroccan decor, fire pits, BBQ’s and air beds to sleep up to four. The Tipi’s are of course Wild West themed and offer similar luxuries.

Unfortunately, all of the camping for the fourth Upton Cheyney Chilli Festival on September 8th is now completely sold out, but most weekends remaining throughout the summer are free.

For a unique camping experience with amazing views in a ancient place please do visit www.pepperbells.co.uk for more info.
