This is a bit of unusual product for us to review, but I could not resist buying a packet to try, delivery was a little slow, had to chase it a couple of time, but I think the courier has beaten the box a little before it finally arrived.

A Quarter Of Madras Chilli Pips

A Quarter Of Madras Chilli Pips

Now pips have been around for ever and A Quarter Of carries over 20 different varieties including my other favourites Liquorice, Cola and Sherbet Pips.

Now these pips are not going to be overly hot, they are sold as a sweet, but there is a nice little bit of warmth if you pop a few in your mouth, apart from the sweetness and a bit of a cayenne type flavour there is not a lot to these. I think the Madras name maybe a bit confusing as there is no Indian Madras flavours.

Ingredients: Sugar, Glucose Syrup, Citric Acid, Natural Colours & Flavours.

They cost £2.27 for a 160g tub, and are worth a go if you are buying anything else from there range. I think I would love to see some Naga Pips, maybe mixed with a few of the other flavours.

Note: On the web site there is an alternative name of Peppa Pips in honour of the children’s cartoon character Peppa Pig..
