A Bit Chilli - Jalapeno Juicy Chutney

Now a chutney needs to be packed with flavours, generally you don’t put chutney with a mild flavoured food, so I am looking for a product that while it says mild in heat is still needs bursting at the seams with the best ingredients.

Now this chutney smells absolutely fantastic, on cracking the lid, you can smell the Tomato combined with the Red Onions and the Balsamic. The heat level is very mild, but there is still a little of that unmistakeable Jalapeno flavour.

Ingredients: Tomatoes (42%), Red Onions (25%), Balsamic Vinegar, Brown Sugar, Garlic Cloves, Jalapeno Chilli (0.5%), Fresh Rosemary, Salt, Black Pepper, bay Leaves, Cinnamon.

Jar kindly supplied by A Bit Chilli

This chutney is not going to set your sandwich on fire, the flavour is coming mostly from the Tomatoes, Onions Garlic and Balsamic Vinegar, the Jalapeno chillies just add a hint of warmth and flavour.

As a chutney, I love the flavour and without the overly sweet sugary taste of a Branston style pickle, I have almost eaten ½ a jar just writing this review, a little more Jalapeño would never go a miss and would still come under the mild banner.

You can pick up a jar of this for £3.80 for a single jar at the events they are attending, you can find a list of these on their web site www.abitchilli.co.uk where you can also order your own jar.
