Brother Bru-Bru's African Chipotle Pepper Sauce

Brother Bru-Bru's African Chipotle Pepper Sauce

Brother Bru-Bru AKA “The Tambourine Man” developed his Original Brother Bru-Bru’s African Hot Sauce after  developing a blood pressure problem, being told to cut back on salt. he create his own low sodium condiment.

The original sauce was a firm favourite here at ChileFoundry HQ, well this one seems to have some sea salt and this time is based on those lovely smoky chipotles.

Off with the lid and there an aroma of smoky chipotles, cider vinegar and garlic, it is almost intoxicating, the taste is also one you have to keep trying and trying and gets more and more interesting the more you try.

Ingredients: Apple Cider Vinegar, Water, Chipotle Peppers, Garlic, American and African Spices, Sea Salt, Xanthan Gum.

Bottle kindly provided by www.hot-headz.com

The cider vinegar is always good as the base for a sauce, it is not as sharp or as overpowering as normal vinegar, the chipotles add the warmth and smoke, and you cannot miss the garlic, but after that there are some peppery flavours, that could be something like Long Pepper, or one of those ingredients Bim from Bim’s Kitchen sent us to try.

There is not as much peppery flavours as Bim uses, us it is along the same lines.

The sauce comes in a standard 148ml/5oz bottle and costs £3.99 a bottle, the original sauce was great, and this one is close to being as good.
