Judging at Fiery Foods UK 2011

After a lot of sampling and discussion the judges came up with the following three sauces:-

1st “Skull Burner HOT” from Harry McCormick

Ingredients: Chilli Pepper, Onion, Garlic, Tomato, Tomato Passata, Lime, Ginger, Tomato Puree, Cayenne Pepper Chilli Pepper, Salt, Sugar, Vinegar

2nd “Ben Kei’s Fucking Hot Sauce (Incredibly Hot)” from Ben Kulchstein

Ingredients: Scotch Bonnet Chilli Peppers, White Onion, Thyme, Spirit Vinegar, Salt.

3rd “John’ Danger Jam” from John Hazell

Ingredients: Tomatoes, Peppers, Shallot, Garlic, Ginger, Peppercorns, Naga Chilli’s, Orange Zest, Orange Juice, Sugar, Cider Vinegar.

Our congratulations to all who took part, feed back from the judges was that the standard was again very high. The winning sauce maker now has the chance to have it made and sold by Chillipepperpete in the ChillipepperPete shop in Brighton. We look forward to reviewing the winning sauce once it has made it in to production.
