Heartbreaking Dawn 1498 Trinidad Scorpion Sauce

Heartbreaking Dawn 1498 Trinidad Scorpion Sauce

Hello there fellow chilli lovers, I am very pleased to be writing this review on one of my favorite American sauces Heartbreaking Dawns 1498 Trinidad Scorpion Sauce. The Heartbreaking Dawns is a fairly new company, located in my home state of New York. But the Quality in their sauces is apparent, once you try them you will be hooked. Their sauces are now being imported to the UK by Hot Headz, which speaks volumes as only the top US manufactures are carried on their site. Enough of the Background lets get to the sauce.

Looking at the botttle it is your typical 148 ml bottle with a very nice artistic label on it. Upon first inspection the sauce has a reddish brown color, and you can see the bits of peppers and blueberries floating around in the sauce. It is not a very thick sauce, it pours out of the bottle very easily. Nor does it come with the little dropper at the opening of the bottle so you have to be careful that you do not use more than you intend to. However the sauce does contain a fair amount of solids which helps it cling to what ever food you apply it to without running off.

Ingredients: Trinidad Scorpion peppers, Scotch Bonnet peppers, Cider Vinegar, Apricot Preserves,Water, Blueberries,Carrots,Honey,Onion, Soy Sauce, Sea Salt, Garlic, Ginger, White Pepper.

The smell of the sauce is amazing, you are able to pick up the smell of the apricots and blueberries straight away. A hint of vinegar is also detected along with the spicy and almost floral smell of the Scorpions, and Scotch bonnets. When you taste the sauce the fruit flavors are very apparent. It is quite a sweet sauce, but then the flavors of the peppers come in quickly after and man is this sauce delicious.

For a chilli head the heat of this sauce is not going to be overwhelming, for a newcomer it might be quite hot however. It has what I consider to be a nice burn, but this sauce is not all about the burn, it is about the amazing flavor. I have not found a food that i did not like this sauce on. It goes great with Chicken, Fish and Shrimp. I have tried many of the UK ‘s top sauces such as Satan’s Sweat and Lucky 7. I would put this sauce right with them in terms of flavor and Quality.

I would recommend that everyone reading this goes to www.hot-headz.com and pick up a bottle of Heartbreaking Dawns 1498 Trinidad Scorpion sauce today for 4.99, you wont regret it. It is one of my favorite sauces and I have no doubt that it will become one of yours as well.
