Chilli Children Trust

I think we have found a charity we can we can support, it is based on the excellent idea of families growing chillies to raise money to help support disabled and orphaned children in the south western end of Uganda.

They support 5,000 Children in 4 districts (Rukungiri, Kanungu, Kisoro and Kabale). The Chillies grow well around the banana trees; the chillies are grown and then graded, and weighed and then transported back to the projects chilli store.

Most of the money raised from the sale of the chillies goes back to the growers, like most charities they are always looking for supporter to help them with donations.

Please watch the video below, it does a much better job of explaining that we can.

This charity appeals to us, as a Family we already support a young girl in Uganda, paying for her schooling and providing money for gifts at Christmas, but growing chillies to raise money seems like an excellent idea, we would love to see some of the UK artisan chilli business supporting this charity, we will be sending 20% of our advertising revenues, at the moment, our income does not generate enough to support the site, but we think this charity is important.

Please visit their web site https://sites.google.com/site/chillichildren/home where you can find out more about the good works they do and how you can support them.
