Spicymonkey opens there first shop!

Spicymonkey make a range of over 40 products, that they have sold on line, at farmers markets and chilli events around the country has now open a retail outlet in Gateshead.

Owner-manager, Ian Nixon, said: “We’re thrilled with how the business has grown over the last four years. We’ve outgrown our kitchen at home so we’ve had to look for larger premises. The new shop on Beaconsfield Road in Low Fell is fantastic and everybody will be able to see all of our products in one place.

The company will continue to sell their products online and at local Farmers Markets, as well as in various retail outlets and special events, such as The Northumberland County Show and the EAT! Food Festival in Newcastle.

Spicymonkey is also actively raising money for the animal charity Inti Wara Yassi, which is based in the Amazon rainforest. Spicymonkey makes a donation of 50p from every jar sold of its Monkey Curry sauce, to Inti Wara Yassi, which is an animal sanctuary, run by local and international volunteers who, along with the animals, rely entirely on donations to keep the community alive.
