Pink's Green Chelli

Pink's Green Chelli

The original Pink’s was based in Bermondsey  and grew into a household name in 1897 they produced 3,400 tons of marmalade, the current Pinks Organics business is now run by a direct descendent, but it now based in Dorchester (Dorset).

Pink’s Organics makes everything by hand in small batches, using locally sourced organic ingredients where possible, on opening the jar the smell is of sweet with a nice sharp Lime tang, The jelly is firm and well set, the lime flavour is rich and bursts on the tongue, followed by a little warmth from the chillies, it a magic mix of sweet and savoury.

Ingredients: Sugar, *Water, Green Chilli 8%, Garlic, Lime Juice & Zest 3%, Lemon Juice, Gelling Agent *Pectin, Lemongrass. (*Non Organic).

There is no shortage of uses for this, water it down and make a dip for spring rolls, crab cakes, almost any Thai meal would be good staring place, even stir some into your Green Thai curry for that extra zing from the limes.

Just spread it on toast, or how about spicy jam tarts (OK, so it’s jelly, but jelly tarts did not sound as good)

You can purchase this at a number of stockists or on-line at http://www.pinksorganics.co.uk at £3.95 for a jar it’s not expensive,
