Dartmoor Chilli Farm’s Hot Orange Chilli Marmalade

Dartmoor Chilli Farm’s Hot Orange Chilli Marmalade

When I buy orange marmalade, I always look for nice thick pieces of orange rind in the mix, for me the more the better; also the colour needs to be a proper orange colour, not some pale yellow jelly, well just looking at this jar  from the Dartmoor Chilli Farm is making my mouth water, it has all the qualities I look for.

On opening the jar the smell in of fresh oranges and lemons, the marmalade has a well set shiny surface, nice to see this without the addition of any setting agents.

The taste is sublime, rich and full of that bitter-sweet orange tang, that is then followed by a slow build warmth from the Bhut Jolokia’s , this was not as hot as I expected,  but that was no bad thing, I still want to enjoy the flavours after the first bite.

Ingredients: Oranges (31%), Lemons, Sugar, Bhut Jolokia Chillies (3%)

Jar kindly provided by Dartmoor Chilli Farm

This is a real breakfast treat on some warm buttered toast and with a good strong double shot of espresso, life does not get much better than this.

At only £2.75 for a jar, this is amazing value for money, a handmade specialist marmalade for under £3 a jar, this could easily be £3.99 and it would still be good value. please visit the Dartmoor Chilli Farms website and order yourself a jar and why not try some of their other products.

Kay and Phil are quickly making a name of them selves for the here at the ChileFoundry office, we have not tasted a duff product from them yet.

Took what was left in the jar away for the weekend with friends, they all loved it, after I could convince them to try it..
