Ever fancied learning how to grow chillies from an expert. Well Michael Michaud from Sea Spring Seeds is running some courses on their specialist nursery, down on the Dorset coast.

The course mainly covers the “how to” of growing, but also includes other subjects such as variety selection and harvesting. It will run for about two hours, by which time you should have learned enough to grow peppers in your own garden.

‘What’s Hot, What’s Not’ assumes that participants have some gardening experience that they can build on. It will cover growing in both containers and garden soil, so no one needs to have a vegetable garden in the traditional sense to benefit from this course.”  – to quote their web site.

The next dates are 30th January  and 13th February 2011, they start at 11am and finish at 1pm and cost only £15 per head, and this would leave you lots of time for a cream tea or two..
