Mr Vikki’s Jamaican Hot Sauce

Mr Vikki’s Jamaican Hot Sauce

This is not the normal looking sauce from Mr Vikki’s, I always think of Mr Vikki’s as being a Indian style curries, Pickles, Chutneys and sauces. So when this bottle arrived with its very different style label, Jamaican colour scheme and graphic, we had to give it a go.

Scotch Bonnets are synonymous with Jamaican sauces for me, when ever I have has Jamaican food a Scotch Bonnet always seems to be involved.

On opening the sauces smells of Habanero/Scotch Bonnets and vinegar, and WOW the flavour in very intense, I can taste the Banana and Mango, but the Habanero/Scotch Bonnet combination is flowing over my tongue, the sauce is not thickened and quickly spreads around my mouth.

Like all the Mr Vikki’s products I have tried this is no wimpy mild sauce, it is packed full of interesting flavour combinations, a second spoonful and I think I can also taste allspice in the mix of spices, this is a very yummie sauce.

Ingredients: Vinegar, Habanero & Scotch Bonnets Chillies, Sugar, Mango, Banana, Spices, Garlic, Salt.

Bottle kindly provided by Mr Vikki’s.

The only negative I can come up with is the packaging which needs a little bit of redesign, on the shelf this looks like “Maica”  Hot Sauce..

I am going to try mixing this with some cream cheese and using it to stuff some chicken breasts, and if there is any left maybe splash some on the roast potatoes for the last 10 minutes of cooking..
