Nando's Perinaise

Nando's Perinaise

We have reviewed Nando’s products in the past,  but I have only just come across Perinaise,  which I hope is a Peri-Peri Mayonnaise, it comes in 250ml squat jar and looks like normally mayo, except just a little bit flecked with red.

The Mayo is quite thick and pour’s very slowly from the Jar, it smells a little like a lemon mayonnaise, and like all the Nando’s product we have tasted you will not be surprised to know it includes Lemon as well as Peri-Peri Chillies.

Ingredients: Water, Vegetable Oil (31%), Sugar, Sprit Vinegar, Thickener (Modified Maize Starch), Salt, Spices (Including African Birds Eye Chillies [Peri-Peri Chillies], Yeast Extract, Egg Yolk (0.8%), Preservative (potassium Sorbate), Colouring (beta-Carotene, Curcumin, Paprika extract), Onion, Lemon, Fresh Green Chilli, Garlic, Herbs, Flavouring (Contains Wheat), Stabiliser (Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum).

Mayo with lemon works well, and this mayo tasted great this would work very well with Prawns, or Smoked Salmon in a sandwich, but there is little or no heat from the Peri-Peri Chillies which is a little disappointing, as a tasty mayo it is very nice, but I want more Peri-Peri flavour before it makes it my table.
