Fire Food's Fire BBQ Sauce

Fire Food's Fire BBQ Sauce

Woody at Fire Foods has had a good year, his Infinity Chilli hit 1,067,286 Scovile Units, he has also been building a business that has created some great sauces, we have reviewed a number of them this year and we are delighted to have their Fire BBQ Sauce to try.

This sauce is billed as a BBQ sauce to knock your socks off, with more heat than the usual BBQ sauces, but still with a Smokey BBQ flavour.. Lets see how it does.

The sauce comes in a smart black plastic bottle, so it is ideal for mail order, and comes with a bright red lid, we always had problems with plastic bottles when it came to face to face sales, it seems people expect craft manufacturers to use glass bottles, but this one I have to say does look good, but it does stop you seeing the sauce, which is an important part of the buying process.

Ingredients: Tomatoes, Sugar, Onions, Tomato Puree, Soy Sauce, Chilli Oil, Garlic, Smoke Flavour.

Bottle kindly supplied by Fire Foods.

On opening I have to say this sauce smells hot, it may be the Smokey aroma, that acts as a warning, on poring on to my tasting spoon, I can describe the sauce as a red/brown colour, it a smooth consistency similar to that of a tomato sauce.

The taste is instantly of a smokey tomatoes sauce, with the onions, garlic and Soy sauce combined well in to the mix, the heat is not as great as I was expecting, but it is hotter that any BBQ I have tried this year.

It is a great flavour, and would make an ideal coating for BBQ ribs (basted on during the last few minutes of cooking), also works well wished into mayo for dip with a bit of bite.

You can order this sauce on-line at and at £3.50 a bottle, you are getting a lot of heat and flavour for your money
