If you are selecting chilli plants to grow this year we would recommend you take a look at the Bulgarian Carrot, it produces beautiful bright orange glossy pods and it idea for growing in a large pot on the patio.

A medium heat (2,000 – 5,000 SHU) chilli they are thick fleshed conical shaped pods, they are idea for salsa’s.

The compact plants grow to about 60 cm high.

We have grown Bulgarian Carrots & got 3 – 4 fruit per plant. Once fruit is cropped does plant produce again or should it be discarded?

I have always picked as soon as they are ripe, this seems to bring on more.

Medium heat… wouldn’t say so. These little peppers are quite hot, would say around 100.000 scoville units hot.
