Chilliqueen - Extra Hot Chilli Jelly

Chilliqueen is being relaunched with a new design of packaging and a new range of products with designs from famous Scottish illustrator, Clare Mackie.

Chilliqueen founder Lee Everett also revealed that the brand that’s famous for using mild chilli flavour in its products, rather than the heat of chilli, were persuaded to ‘up the heat’ in one product by a rather well known rock star!

‘We gave our old friend Sir Elton John a jar of our mild chilly jelly and he asked if we could bring up the chilli heat as he likes it hot. From this came the Extra Hot Chilli Jelly, which is now one of our best sellers’ Lee disclosed during an interview with a major newspaper covering her life story.

Lee, who was formerly a ‘pop star’ herself in the sixties and the wife of Billy Fury and Kenny Everett before marrying ex Sweeney actor John Alkin, is currently writing her autobiography, which is due out later this year and will be accompanied by a documentary. Both will feature her love of chilli and the creation of the Chilliqueen brand. Lee still finds time to cook up the key recipe and flavour ideas for her Chilliqueen brand.

The Observer has just named Chilliqueen chilli jellies as one of the UK’s top 50-gourmet food items and it has featured in the Daily Mail and on Heart FM. Sophie Grigson, another fan, also produced a recipe for Chilliqueen which you can soon find on the website.

The Chilliqueen Chilli Jellies are available at delis, butchers and farmshops priced at £2.89 for a 200g jar. For further details or to order online go to
