Elizabeth Karmel has become one of my food hero’s I have just been reading her book Soaked, Slathered, and Seasoned: A Complete Guide to Flavoring Food for the Grill and it is full of over 400 excellent recipes and idea’s for Marinades, Brines, Sauces, Glazes, MopsSalsas, Relishes, Sauces, Rubs and Spice blends etc etc.

This book is a must for anyone who is interested getting real flavor from their grill or learning the art of real BBQ (Slow cooking at low temperatures in an enclosed BBQ).

I love BBQ, but cannot stand the cheap nasty products we see on the shelves in the UK supermarkets, and having developed a number of BBQ Rubs a few years ago (Hot Juan Rub Down) I now feel inspired to makes some new BBQ sauces to complement them.
